PEACH COMMUNITY

Welcome to the PEACH Community
– Introduction
In the PEACH Community, culture, craft, and connection converge. Here, work is purpose, skill is progression, and imagination is foundational. From apprentices learning their first craft to masters mentoring the next generation, every activity—whether in studios, clubs, festivals, or the music of Siegfried’s Idyll—is part of a living tapestry of heritage and creativity.
We value family, education, health, and sustainable practices. Our seasonal rhythms guide daily life, festivals celebrate tradition, and every member contributes to a vibrant, purposeful community.
Step in, explore, and discover what it means to live, learn, and create together. The PEACH Community is more than a place—it’s a way of life.
This is the short version of the larger book explaining what the PEACH Community is and how it works. There is an overview of each area of The Arts, The Clubs, Celebrations and Festivals, and Administration. There is a brief Introduction about the Seeds Project as well.
The Arts – The Arts at the PEACH carry three components, Fine Arts, Practical & Folk Arts and Skilled Art. Plato had a number of distinct ideas concerning the arts, so we try to follow his ideal in relationship to truth, beauty and goodness. Some may argue beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and all art is subjective. The emphasis at the PEACH is what has been accepted and developed culturally over thousands of years. Further, each category and discipline has a component of the other two arts nestled within. For example; the Fine Art of ballet, it can not come about without skill and repetitive and dedicated practice. This holds true also for the Skilled Arts as well, these have both a practical purpose in mind and embrace a Fine Arts quality in its completion, a wrought-iron gate or a mantle on a fireplace. Within the Practical Arts which are generally accepted as a functional or folk art, the other two arts lie subtly within its intended function. For example; a quilt, this takes a developed skill and great patience, a keen sense of design, knowledge of tools and fabrics and an appreciation for symmetry and beauty. All three Art components are why families pass these quilts down as heirlooms from generation to generation. At the PEACH, we have divided the Arts into these three categories:
Fine Arts – Dance, Literature, History & Philosophy, Music, Painting, Photography & Film and Theatre.
Practical Arts – Basketry, Book-Binding, Candle-Wicking, Cordwaining, Culinary, Fibers & Fabrics, Home Life, Mosaic, Paper & Tissue Arts, Sheep Shearing, Wool, Qiviut & Silk Washing & Spinning and Tree Tapping.
Skilled Arts – Blacksmithing, Ceramics & Pottery, Farming & Animal Husbandry, Glassblowing, Printmaking, Stone Cutting and Woodworking.

.
The Clubs – Every Club has a mission, most of the clubs are organized and run by our volunteers. These are the dedicated residents and members, people who make the PEACH work. They are the life force, they are like family, la Famiglia. Not only do our volunteers organize, sometimes instruct, work in or together with other clubs, they also participate in the experience. If you have any questions, they are there to answer them. If you need help, they are there to help. If you just need someone to listen, they will listen. Our goal is to allow those in the community to join any Club for the experience, find out where their true passions lay.
Each month in our newsletter, we feature one or two of our Clubs. We find out what they are up to for the year to come and what they have accomplished in the past. This gives everyone an idea what the Clubs are about and if this is something other members might enjoy.
Clubs are all based on our Culture and Heritage, including Local American Culture. If the need for a Club changes over time or there is a desire to add a new club, that is within the bounds of our Culture and Heritage, the Educational Club is where the magic starts.

PART III
Little PEACH Book – Audio Script Version
Introduction
Welcome to the PEACH Community — a place where culture, craft, and connection converge. Here, work has purpose, skill is progression, and imagination is foundational. From apprentices learning their first craft to masters mentoring the next generation, every activity — whether in studios, clubs, festivals, or even the music of Siegfried’s Idyll — is part of a living tapestry of our heritage and creativity.
At the PEACH, our aims are clear: to practice our culture, live our culture, and preserve our culture. Through this, we pass down our heritage to future generations. By fostering imagination, we hope to spark intuition and inspire others to join or even create their own cultural communities.
We value family, education, health, and sustainable practices. Seasonal rhythms guide daily life, festivals celebrate tradition, and every member contributes to a vibrant, purposeful community. Step in, explore, and discover what it means to live, learn, and create together. PEACH is more than a place — it’s a way of life.
The Arts
At the PEACH, the Arts are divided into three components: Fine Arts, Practical & Folk Arts, and Skilled Arts.
Fine Arts – Dance, Music, Painting, Philosophy, Photography, Film, and Theatre.
Practical & Folk Arts – Basketry, Book-Binding, Candle-Wicking, Cordwaining, Culinary Arts, Fibers & Fabrics, Folk Music, Home Life, Herbs, Inks, Mosaics, Paper-making, Tissue Arts, Soap Making, Sheep Shearing, Wool & Silk Washing & Spinning, Whitesmything and Tree Tapping.
Skilled Arts – Blacksmithing, Ceramic & Pottery, Farming & Animal Husbandry, Glassblowing, Printmaking, Stone Cutting, and Woodworking.
Each category overlaps — for example, a ballet performance requires skill, artistry, and practice; a quilt combines design, patience, and tradition. This integration is why families pass these creations down through generations.
The Clubs
Every club has a mission, and most are organized by our dedicated volunteers — the lifeblood of the PEACH, is la Famiglia. They instruct, assist, and support every member.
